Contemporary Linguistics Analysis
Published in Paperback by Addison Wesley Pub Ltd (June, 1996)
Author: O'Grady
Average review score:

Required reading.
Although there are several new editions to this 1996 edition, it is still worth the read. This book is required text for several linguistic study programs across Canada. It is clear and easy to read for every person (not just the university student). Chapters are in depth and cover morphology, phonology and syntax better than most "textbooks". They are plenty of examples and diagrams that will aid with understanding of all basic principles. The book is entertaining and of value. Check out the newer editions for more effective chapters though :) !

Average review score:

Very convenient book...
Gleim is one of the major CPA exam preparation materials proveder. In contrast to most other providers he splits the subjects in observable units... 19-21 units for each part of the exam.

I think TABLE OF CONTENTS may be useful for prospective buyers:

A Deep Steady Thunder: The Battle of Chickamauga (Civil War Campaigns and Commanders)
Published in Paperback by McWhiney Foundation Pr (April, 1996)
Authors: Steven E. Woodworth and Grady McWhiney
Average review score:

Good intro book on this great Civil War battle
The author deals with Chickamauga at the division/brigade level. This makes it easy for the reader to follow this complex battle over the three days it was fought. My only compliant was the Confederate Order of Battle in the appendix. B. Johnson's Division is missing completely, which includes the brigades of Gregg, McNair and Fulton. A good introduction to a reader who knows little about this battle. The maps are very well done, and add an important tool in describing this complex battle.

Grady's Wedding

Author: Patricia Mclinn
Average review score:

Synopsis
Grady Roberts had never been the marrying kind- and he still wasn't. But after he watched his best friends walk down the aisle and start families, flipping through his little black book and take-out for one suddenly seemed boring..and lonely. Yet the one woman he wanted wouldn't have anything to do with him...

If dreams really did come true, Leslie Craig would have been a wife and mother long ago. But since that wasn't possible for her she'd just have to resist Grady Roberts. She didn't know why the too- handsome confirmed bachelor was interested in an unsexy, unbeautiful woman like her, but she did know he would hurt her when he discovered the truth....

Hand Picked Men
Published in Paperback by Hippocrene Books (February, 1989)
Author: Yvette Grady
Average review score:

Classic Categories
This is an interesting book that outlines key palm and digit characteristics that applies to both sexes. What is especially fascinating is in this book the author applies this knowledge to men and supports her research by her years of professional experience. There are many illustrations and it serves well for a small reference book on palm reading. Worth owning.

Hawaii Golf Guide 1998
Published in Paperback by Pro Graphics Pacific (01 January, 1998)
Author: Grady Timmons
Average review score:

The Hawaii Golf Guide Captures the Essence of Island Golf!
I found the Hawaii Golf Guide to be a complete look at golf in Hawaii. It lists all of the courses and gives a bit of historical editorial. The publication is well designed, with beautiful color pictures that take you right to the courses of Hawaii. There are several maps by Island included as well.

This an ideal and "must have" publication for anyone considering a visit to Hawaii with golf in mind.

John Koch: Painting a New York Life
Published in Paperback by Scala Books (October, 1901)
Authors: Phillip Lopate, Mina Rieur Weiner, and Grady T. Turner
Average review score:

Worth searching for
JOHN KOCH: PAINTING A NEW YORK LIFE was published as a catalogue for an exhibition and has become one of those fine books that didn't last beyond the time of the exhibit. Finding a copy is like searching for the end of the rainbow. But once found, you will wonder why this 'catalogue' wasn't converted into a book for the American libraries. John Koch was a fine painter, in the manner of Sargent, Eakins, et al but confined his paintings to either myths from the past or myth-like settings in the current New York society that admired his works. His talent was genuine, his sense of space and atmosphere among the best, and his figurative works stand with the best of them. This book is rather short on information but rich on exposing us to the works of an under-appreciated painter. Definitely worth going to the search engines for a copy. I would highly recommend that the transition to a second printing (and beyond) be considered by the author and editor. It is just too fine a book to let disappear!

The New York Times Guide to Alternative Health
Published in Paperback by Henry Holt & Company, Inc. (June, 2001)
Authors: Jane E. Brody and Denise Grady
Average review score:

A Little Dated
I really admire Jane Brody, but some of the material in this book is 4-5 years old. In the fast paced world of integrative medicine, some info seems a little dated.
